
WESTERN PRE-OSTEOPATHIC MEDICINE SOCIETY

Welcome to the official page of the Western Pre-Osteopathic Medicine Society (WPOMS). WPOMS is a university club that was started by a joint effort between COMSA and a group of highly motivated individuals at Western University in London, ON.
The objectives of the Western Pre-Osteopathic Medicine Society (WPOMS) include the following:
· To educate university students about osteopathic medicine. Topics may include the following: the role of the profession in Canada, the United States, and abroad; how to practice the full scope of medicine in Canada as a physician with a DO medical degree; how to apply to osteopathic medical schools and become a competitive candidate.
· To become an active club on campus and within the community. Activities may include the following: organizing various events and fundraisers to promote health awareness; assisting various community outreach organizations in their efforts to better the local community; form connections and collaborate with other clubs on campus to make a combined effort in bettering the local community through events, fundraisers, or similar tasks.
