Mission & Objectives

     THE COMSA MISSION

The Canadian Osteopathic Medical Student Association mission is to help current and potential US Osteopathic medical students pursue their dream of practicing medicine in Canada by providing support in navigating the requirements and processes, by educating organizations associated with medical education and the health care system in Canada, and by advocating on all our members' behalf when collective barriers are encountered.

     OUR VISION

Provide support and guidance to current and potential US Osteopathic medical students interested in practicing in Canada by outlining requirements / processes, by educating key organizations in Canada, and by working to remove barriers.

     Objectives Summary

- Provide support and guidance to current U.S. Osteopathic medical students interested in pursuing post graduate training and / or practice rights in Canada
- Inform and educate organizations in Canada involved in medical education about Osteopathic medicine and its equivalence to Allopathic medicine
- Work to remove barriers to Canadians wishing to pursue an Osteopathic medical education in the U.S.
- Inform and educate Canadian undergraduate students about the option of Osteopathic Medicine

The Canadian Osteopathic Medical Student Association mission and vision reflect our ultimate goal of fostering a thriving Osteopathic medical culture in Canada. With the dedicated help and support of student doctors, our collective voice will help make this dream a reality.
